The first two weeks of college lacrosse powerfully confirm our views on what deserves to be focused on and trained week after week. The most efficient and effective footwork, shooting form, and dodging stuck out with incredible contrast!
As we share with our players, when you drill something over and over again you develop an eye for professionalism - there is a clear difference between a player who is figuring it out on the fly versus one manipulating and shaping the defender to execute exactly what they have worked on.
When a drill is specific and intentional… It jumps off the screen that the player has been there and done that.
Every rep has refined out inefficiencies.
The body is so clearly coordinated and balanced.
All of this does not happen overnight… but the processing time is rapidly decreased when a coach is critical and the drills are very focused.
That is the power of one training session. It is a day to increase mastery on something very specific that has high utility.
Week after week we will offer this opportunity. For players to train and gain further understanding on how to find success and impact in their coming competitions. You will not just learn more about lacrosse, BUT more about how YOU can make your mark in your lacrosse games.
Where to find the ball, how to angle and attack defenders, best ways to shoot, ball handle, and etc...
The weekend training program is an awesome opportunity. After the week with your school teams… a chance to reflect, learn from it, and begin another with fresh confidence.
The first weekend will be February 22-23rd.
Harrison and I will be leading every training session!
We are excited to work with new faces who have not been a part of our daily Academy training.
Persevere,
