REQUIRED READ: An Intro to the Spring Manual, First Resources.

henryschertzinger

You would not walk into the mall intent on shopping without also accepting conditions which are “you pay for it.”

You have been courageous in answering the question of “what do you want?”-  however, this intention now has stipulations. It makes demands.

What we have shared at training almost daily:

This stool has three legs which you can sit securely on.

First, Skill work. If you want to be great at lacrosse it is expected you dedicate time for yourself to refine your skills daily. In this category we would also put Lacrosse IQ - Watch lacrosse, find resources to study and consume. BE A PROFESSIONAL.

Second, Strength / Fitness / Athleticism: A truly unfair advantage when taken seriously. To be bigger, stronger, faster - is possible for you in some combination! But, it takes consistent investments. This is something we have been thinking about a lot the last couple weeks.

Everyone can fit into one of two categories. Fully equipped gym, or access to the basics (Bands and Mod/heavy KB/DB)

Regardless of the category it is possible for you to maintain and even increase strength during the spring season.

WHAT WE MUST AVOID: All the work you put in the last 260 + days disappears because you decided to resume strength training when the spring is over. NOT AN OPTION

In conclusion, Brett will be programming and ready to work with you to continue this strength training. Two Tracks will begin next week (FEB 24th)

  1. Full Gym

  2. Modified: Resistance Bands + KB/DB (35Lb-heavy)

    1. Will share links in another blog.

Finally and most importantly, Everyone is a little army, the greatest conquerors in history knew it was of highest importance to care about the morale of their troops. You are the commander and the army… during the spring season you must continue to be hyper focused on your morale, your spirit! The best are mentally bulletproof. They know the inner work as well as the external work. Humbly, they are never complacent with either.

Professionals take care of these details daily, it is what built them, therefore, it is now continued to be done almost naturally.

Set out with the intention to endure, persevere, rise above, have no other option this Spring. In the end you will be so proud of how far you have come.

Persevere,

Henry Schertzinger
